Named in honour of the once thriving industrial hotbed that makes up our neighbourhood, this brooding and complex porter is a tip of the cap towards Dundee’s long history of sea trade with our Baltic brethren.
We experimented with no less than seven different malts and combined them with Noble hops to bring you this dark and stormy looking brew. Once poured it’s a different story though – expect smooth sailing from start to finish.
Opaquely black with a glint of ruby red and a light tan coloured head.
A deep and rich malty aroma is central, with backnotes of liquorice and black cherry.
Get ready for big hits of dark chocolate and espresso with hints of dark stone fruit.
Light carbonation with a surprisingly clean finish.
