Marketing Manager

Job description

As the Marketing Manager at 71 Brewing, you will be responsible for all aspects of marketing planning, branding, and promotional activities for our rapidly growing craft brewery.

Reporting directly to the executive team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the image and perception of our brand, driving awareness, engagement, and loyalty among both existing and prospective customers.

With a creative and ambitious leadership team in place who enjoy extensive experience in building consumer-focused brands of scale across a range of categories, 71 Brewing is enjoying a period of exciting growth.

Having recently rebranded and repackaged as well as opening a new bar & restaurant outlet, 71 will also this year open a new collaborative work, performance and lifestyle venue in their large converted Ironworks building in the city's West End.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Marketing Strategy: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans aligned with business objectives, leveraging insights, market trends, and consumer behaviour to drive brand growth and market penetration.
  • Brand Management: Cultivate and maintain a strong brand identity for 71 Brewing, ensuring consistency across all communication channels, including packaging, advertising, social media, and events.
  • Digital Marketing: Oversee all digital marketing efforts, including website management, email campaigns, social media engagement, and content creation, with a focus on maximising online visibility, engagement, and conversion.
  • Public Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for media relations, press inquiries, and external communications, nurturing relationships with key media outlets and influencers to secure positive coverage and enhance brand reputation.
  • Event Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute various promotional events, tastings, and brewery tours to foster community engagement, drive brand awareness, and generate sales opportunities.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and growth opportunities, using data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies and decision-making.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, production, and taproom staff, to ensure alignment and integration of marketing efforts across all touchpoints, driving a cohesive brand experience.
  • Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets effectively, monitoring expenditures, tracking ROI, and optimizing resource allocation to maximize marketing impact and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field;
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies, campaigns, and initiatives that drive brand awareness, engagement, and sales growth.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and web analytics.
  • Experience working with design software including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset, able to translate business objectives into compelling marketing solutions that resonate with target audiences.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with strong leadership skills, able to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Passion for craft beer and a deep appreciation for the brewery's mission, values, and culture.

Work type and schedule

  • Permanent, full time
  • Monday-Friday, 42.5 hours/week
  • Salary: £27,000.00 - £30,000.00 per year
  • Hybrid work available
  • Expected Start Date: 01/05/2024
